Moses Tunda Tatamy Trail

In 2025, FOWWOS was awarded a "Green Acres" grant of around $268,000 to help fund the proposed "Moses Tunda Tatamy Trail." This project will convert a Township-owned access road off Penn Lyle & North Post Roads into a public history/nature trail. Interpretive signage will highlight:
The trail will have a crushed gravel base, akin to the Delaware & Raritan Canal. Road crossings will feature crosswalks and rapid flashing beacons. Seating will provide rest opportunities. See the map below or a visual:

- 2) The story of Moses Tunda Tatamy, a major 1700s-era Lenape leader linked to the area.
- 3) The natural environment.
