Other Ways to Help:

  1. Volunteer with us: CLICK HERE!
  2. Clean up Parks and Trails with us: We lead regular litter cleanup events. Contact us to suggest areas in need. Look for emails and fliers advertising these events, and check our homepage for updates. These cleanups are fun and a great way to help keep West Windsor beautiful - so join us!
  3. Pick up debris and let us know: Not only does it provide exercise and wellbeing; those who collect trash in and along West Windsor parks and roads can log and submit their time to help. FOWWOS receive funds through the NJ Clean Streets Program.
  4. Propose a project: Have an idea that will benefit local open space and fulfills our Mission and Vision? Contact us! Include a brief description, timeline, and amount of funds sought (if any).
  5. Plant native species: Native species are easier to maintain as they are more acclimated to our climate, AND wildlife like birds and butterflies are adapted to them. Think of plants that will provide shelter year-round. Don't remove dead trees or logs unless they are hazardous. Try not to rake your leaves; many pollinators winter in debris. Convert some of your grass to meadow. Reduce or eliminate pesticides and fertilizers.
  6. Stay current on Open Space: Attend our monthly meetings! Hear the latest news and share ideas. Attend Town Council meetings and comment on issues you care about.
